General Information:
Welcome to the new APFL website and more importantly, the latest edition of the long-time newsletter of the APFL, Goalposts.
Some of you may realize that this is a blog site. I have experience with blogging because I've maintained a blog for my writing since 2007. Our previous website was lost when Geocities disbanded but I was able to rescue the files that I used to build the site and will be adding many of them to this blog as we move forward. This blog is free compared to a website which requires a hosting fee. Also, a website will require more work with HTML language coding and uploading. This blog requires minimal uploading and although we are restricted as to what we can display here, we can cover most of the basics.
This blog should be used as a communication tool although we will still need to utilize email as our main point of contact especially regarding the sending of files. But think of this blog as a means of finding out the latest APFL news and as a repository of reference information. From time to time, due to space limitations, I will have to delete older files but files like the league constitution and files pertaining to the current season will always be found on this blog.
What I need from all of you are comments. Tell me what you like about this blog and what you don't like about it. Please provide me with ideas on how we can make this better for all of us.
Current Season Information:
All teams are now at 60 players and all coaches are now allowed to resume trading players and draft picks. Teams are also allowed to claim free agent players on a first come, first served basis. Teams claiming players must provide a player to be cut because no team can exceed the 60-man roster limit. Trades must adhere to the 60-man roster limit as well.
Final rosters and coaches files are due by September 12th. Active rosters are 53 players so you must set aside 7 players on your 60-man roster to inactive status.
